Traer Scott is an award winning fine art photographer and author of four books including her newest release Newborn Puppies due out April 1 from Chronicle Books. Her book Shelter Dogs is a national bestseller with over 50,000 copies in print. Her work has been featured in National Geographic, Life, Vogue, People, O and dozens of other national and international publications. Traer is proud to have been the recipient of the 2008 Helen Woodward Humane Award for animal welfare activism and the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts 2010 Photography Fellowship Grant. She is happiest when she is in the ocean, with a dog, doting on her daughter, or behind the lens. Preferably all four. Traer resides in Providence, Rhode Island with her family.
